Hey there Bubs Peeps. In these very trying times, I find a lot of us out there are really struggling and having to re-invent ourselves. I’d love to hear your stories.
I could have quit when my first consignment retail customer did a runner and I never received the unsold goods or monies from sold items.
I could have quit when I was asked to design animal t-shirts for 3 – 10 year olds for a tourism company, spent R15 000, and they cancelled the order at the last minute.
I could have quit when a huge retailer ordered 1040 of ‘My First Christmas’ and ‘HoHoHo’ Tees and tutus and royally ripped me off.
I could have quit after Covid hit and all the tourist outlets cancelled my orders. 20 stores.
Instead, we made masks from off-cuts of all our fabrics – for little people and adults and I had a lot of fun doing that. It managed to keep us afloat and kept the wolf from the door.
I learned from each one of these setbacks. I picked myself up, dusted myself off and bounced back with more knowledge and success than before.
Tell me a time you have wanted to quit!
Keep hanging in there Bubsters.
Bye see you all again soon…
